Give me whatever is in your right pocket.
Why not the left pocket?
You don’t have a left pocket.
This was supposed to be a simple quest. Travel to the edge of the Wildwood, slay this strange feyling, return before the winter snows block the road.
But Vier finds the situation far more complicated. The folk of the mountains are afraid, and that fear has birthed a monster: the Gauntwolf. Only Lai’s power has held the beast at bay. But as winter approaches her influence wanes and hunger grows strong.
The two of them strike a deal to hunt the beast, for neither can fight it alone. With winter closing in, they must learn to trust one another before the Wildwood devours them.

Madame Cutpurse
Darling, I couldn’t possibly have stolen that jewel. I was upstairs stealing a tapestry at the time. Much more valuable.
The notorious Cat stands accused of theft!
As usual. But this time, she is perfectly innocent. However can she clear her name? Bribery, theft, murder? Should she give up all she’s worked to build and flee to another town? No, that’s so terribly hard on the joints.
Perhaps that new detective could be amenable to a job? She can pay as well as anyone else, after all. Particularly once she’s picked their pockets.
